Prepare Your Jaw for Dental Implants

To move forward with an implant procedure, Dr. Schwartz will need to examine your mouth to determine if you are a good candidate. He’ll use digital X-rays, CT scans, and intraoral cameras to plan and prepare for your treatment. Rest assured, he will only recommend a ridge augmentation, and any other procedure, if absolutely necessary.

If needed, he will rebuild the contours of your jaw. He places bone grafting material in areas that have lost density. The graft spurs bone growth, restoring needed height and width.

He also uses modern techniques, such as platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) to encourage the post-operative healing process. The quicker you heal, the quicker you’ll be ready for implants. After the healing process, we can proceed with procedures such as:

  • All-on-4 (or 6) Dental Implants – Dr. Schwartz will place four or six implants in your jaw to support your new teeth. It gives you feel and function that are similar to natural teeth.
  • Full-Mouth Reconstruction – If you are receiving a complete reconstruction, we can continue with the rest of your treatment plan to rebuild your smile.
